Saturday, September 03, 2005 ::: just downloaded the promo video for Old Town - a really pathetic video with only clips from Unplugged and Live in London. I don't really expect them to shoot something grand and new, but this 'promo video' is just pathetic. There are so many things they could've done instead if they don't want to spend time/keep the budget low/whatever reasons that wouldn't make a full scale video shoot possible - e.g. compile clips from MULTIPLE gigs; book a room/studio and perform just like they did for the borrowed heaven EPK; use video clips from the All The Way Home DVD (which I'm sure there're plenty of them which suit the mood of the song - backstage footages, on stage performances, some random tour footages, even *some* occasional scenes from Unplugged will be fine... etc); shoot a video with Andrea only (you know, the "walking down the streets in Dublin singing the song while doing something in between concept" (a concept used by so many artists already but still works if you want to keep the budget low...) but THIS?! If this album means so much to them I think they should've at least give it the attention that it deserves. :( liz phair performed an acoustic set on vh1! somebody's miracle, the title track from her new CD Somebody's Miracle, is really nice. there goes somebody's miracle walking down a street there goes some other other fairy tale i wish that can happen on me but i look at myself and i think what the hell maybe i'm just too naive to have such faith in myself you know i'm praying for it you know i'm praying for it. i showed a sign of weakness maybe you didn't even notice why should i bother then whatever. ::: posted by Wings at 9/03/2005 08:55:00 AM
